How it works

The tooth count stays constant around the face, so on a tapered or curved face the pitch grows with the width, as a real knurl does. The pitch you enter applies at the middle of the face.
Grooves run out through the edges of the face where the part falls away there (a grip, a knob, a shaft). On a recessed face, such as a thumb depression, they stop exactly at its edge instead, so the surrounding walls are not cut. Automatic picks this per face; you can override it.
Several separate faces (both thumb depressions, say) can be knurled in one job: select them all, and each gets its own pattern.
A surface exported in pieces (a cylinder in two halves, for example) can be knurled as one: select all the pieces and the pattern runs through the seams.
One job runs at a time, and each job is stopped after 15 minutes. Finer pitches on large faces take much longer: try a coarse pitch first.
Your files are used only to make your result and are deleted after 6 hours.
